Hi Cusa Community!
I wanted to share a bit about our ingredients and why it’s been a mission of mine to use only real tea, coffee, herbs, and spices in our products. Honestly, it has not been easy and we could have cut some corners to save money, but deep down, I don’t want to put anything artificial in my body and I know you don’t either.
It seems like every other week, we see a new article coming out about the harm that artificial ingredients can cause. Just this week it came out that erythritol, a very common artificial sweetener is linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death.
Here’s quick rundown of why Cusa only uses the good stuff!
- Nutritional Value: Real ingredients like fresh herbs, spices, and fruits contain essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can benefit our health. For example, using ginger in our tea can help alleviate nausea and inflammation, while adding cinnamon can help regulate blood sugar levels. On top of that, our botanical-extraction process concentrates beneficial properties like antioxidants, so we bring more of the ‘goodness’ to you versus tea bags or loose leaf tea.
- Zero Additives: Packaged tea and coffee often contain additives such as artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives that can be harmful to your health. (Read your ingredient labels!) Using only real ingredients allows us to avoid these additives and know exactly what you're consuming.
- No Sweeteners: Most packaged tea and coffee products contain added sugars, which can contribute to weight gain, diabetes, and other health problems. Using real ingredients allows you to control the amount of sugar in your drink and choose healthier sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup.
- More Flavor: Real ingredients can add a rich and complex flavor profile to your tea or coffee that can't be replicated by artificial flavors. This makes your Cusa more satisfying and enjoyable, which can lead to fewer cravings and less snacking throughout the day.
When flavor as good as ours, you don't need all the muck anyway. It's better for you to skip it, and better-tasting, too!
Happy Sipping,
