The best thing about Cusa Tea and Coffee is that it dissolves instantly in hot water, and quickly in cold water, too. Cusa Coffee, for instance, dissolves almost as fast in iced water as it does in hot!

So, we want to make it clear from the outset of this handy list of best practices that you don't need this milk frother to enjoy Cusa Coffee, or Cusa Tea. But, let's fact it - every now and then we all feel like having a little treat, don't we?

We developed the Cusa Milk Frother to help with doctoring up our brews, so you can have not only barista-quality tea and coffee any time, and anywhere, but also the foamy flare you get at the coffee shop in the comfort of your own home!

Here are two simple recipes for making a cafe-style iced or hot coffee treat:

Fancy Iced Coffee (or Tea)

STEP ONE: Add ice to a glass.

STEP TWO: Add coffee packet and sweetener of choice. (See below for a list of sweetener suggestions.)

STEP THREE: Add half of the recommended amount of cool water shown on the packet.

STEP FOUR: Insert frother so the tip is under the ice.

STEP FIVE: Blend for about 20 seconds, while moving frother up and down to ensure all coffee, water and sweetener are mixed completely.

STEP SIX: (in the glass method) Add creamer or milk of choice to make up the other half of the liquid amount shown on the packet. (See below for a list of milk/creamer suggestions.) Insert the frother tip under the ice and blend for 10 seconds, then move the frother tip to the top of the mixture and blend for another 10 seconds to top with foam.

STEP SEVEN: (in the mug method) Add creamer or milk to a separate container and foam for 20-30 seconds. Then pour foamed milk into glass and let it drip down into coffee.

    Fancy Hot Coffee (or Tea)

    Iced

STEP ONE: Add coffee packet to empty mug.

STEP TWO: Add sweetener to the mug.

STEP THREE: Add half of the recommended amount of hot/boiling water shown on the packet.

STEP FOUR: Insert frother and blend for 10-20 seconds, moving the frother in an up and down motion. Coffee will foam slightly as you move the frother to the top.

STEP FIVE: Add creamer or milk of choice to make up the other half of the liquid amount shown on the packet.

STEP SIX: (in the mug method) Insert frother and blend. As you move the frother to the top of the mug, the milk will foam more.

STEP SEVEN: (out of the mug method) Froth milk separately and then pour foamed milk over the coffee. You can froth the milk cool for medium foam or hot for more foam!

Best Practices for Using the Cusa Milk Frother

      • You can use all milk for any coffee or tea packet instead of half water and half milk, if desired.

      • Some great options for sweeteners are: sugar, honey, maple syrup and agave nectar. For sugar free options, consider stevia or monk fruit.

      • We found that oat milk makes the best and longest-lasting foam (and, it tastes great!). However, you can use milk, half and half or creamer, any nut or non-dairy milk, or even iced cream for extra-sweet decadence!

      • The freshest milk makes the best foam, and hot milk foams better than cold.

      • Latte-style drinks are best with smaller bubbles and thicker milk; for cappuccino and macchiato style drinks, you’ll want larger bubbles (frother longer).

      • When blending an iced beverage, start with the frother tip under the ice and move up and down. The ice won’t ruin the frother, but it’s best to keep it moving around!

      • Rinse or wipe your frother soon after use to make sure sweet/sticky residue doesn’t cake onto it before washing.

      • Don’t like watered-down iced coffee or tea? Try making ice cubes out of coffee or tea and using them instead!

        Other Convenient Uses!

        • Our Spicy Chai makes an excellent foamy Chai Latte with the help of this frother!

        • Our green teas can take 20 seconds of stirring/shaking to dissolve in iced water; speed up the time by using the frother to blend iced green teas.

        • This frother is a battery-powered hand blender, so give it a whirl with any thin liquids you’re blending, like cocktails, simple syrups, juice blends or even sauces and salad dressings!

        • Sometimes coffee foam is a treat in itself! Use the frother to make an extra foamy blend with just Cusa Coffee and water.

        • This frother is perfect for blending coffee with powdered creamer blends, like those made by our friends Coconut Cloud!
